Hebei University of Engineering is now looking for 3 foreign teachers to join the Department of Foreign Languages to teach the students oral English, listening, writing and their country's culture and history. Hebei University of Engineering is located in Handan City, Hebei Province. It is a comprehensive public university, with more than 2,835 staff members and 24,698 full-time students.

Handan City is located in the south of Hebei Province, where four provinces--Shanxi, Hebei, Shandong and Henan--meet. Handan City has a splendid history and culture of over 3000 years, with its beginning as the capital of the ancient Zhao kingdom during the Spring-Autumn Period. Over 200 Chinese idioms have their origins in Handan City; it is also one of the birth places of Taijiquan, known as ¡°Tai Chi,¡± in the West, a slow motion martial arts promoting health as well as self-defense. Handan City has a lot of historical places to visit. It was nominated as ¡°A city famous for its history and culture¡± by the State Council. Handan is a medium-sized city, the cost of living is low, people are friendly, and the services are great. Traveling to Handan¡¯s many famous sites is very convenient. Beijing is only four hours away by train.

Contract Duration : Sep.2008 to Jun. 2009

Workload: 14-16 teaching hours per week (maximum)

Students¡¯ Age: 18-22 years old

Class Size: around 30 students

Candidate Requirements:

1.    Native English speaker from America, Australia, British, Canada, New Zealand.

2.    Bachelor¡¯s degree and above

3.    Having teaching experience is preferred.

4.    22-60 years old and in good health.

Our offer:

1.    Monthly Salary:4500-5000RMB (Individual monthly salary is set according to the relevant qualifications)

2.    Reimbursement of Airfare up to 8000RMB per academic year.

3.    Travel Allowance: 2200 RMB per academic year.

4.    Vacation Allowance: the same amount of one month salary     4500-5000RMB.

5.    Free multiple-entry work visa and residence permit.

6.    Accommodation: Free, private apartment with air-conditioner, color TV, washing machine, refrigerator, microwave, 24-hour hot-water shower, cooking sets, computer with high-speed internet available in the apartment , and the electricity and water are free.
